Judging from the photos on the main site, this is going to be an insanely beautiful plant with dark purple (almost black) leaves and nice orange hairs.

I personally have grown in Coco and soil, and am partial to Coco mostly because that is where the bulk of my research has been, plus the fact that Coco is very pest resistant and I don't want to mess with that!

I'm out of town until November 5th (fleeing civilization for the election ) but I will be starting my grow this upcoming weekend.

Just as a precursor, I will be germinating the seeds in the ol fashion paper towel method (been very successful so far!) and planting them into jiffy pellets. I prefer the pellets just because I can rehydrate as needed and they are relatively cheap.

I'm a new grower and have only accomplished two harvests thus far. I grew a batch of the autoflower Cream Cookies by FastBuds (turned out delicious and HUGE) and have also grown the French Macaron by TH Seeds. (SO STOKED for another freebie of that)

This was more of just an experiment and has been sort of fun and way less maintenance than your typical run. I also have thought about doing a Sea of Green grow one of these days, so I wanted to try my hand with growing small, strong, and healthy. The seeds I am using currently are called Crystal Meth (I hate this name so much!) and it's an autoflower strain I bought here on SHN.

I just started using Overdrive on these babies this week, so I am going to chop in about 2. At that point I will be filling my tent full of the Grease Monkey.

Questions for you guys, not sure if anyone has auto experience. How bad would it be to start the seedlings in the same tent and turn my lights over to grow? Basically, how bad do you think the effect on the 2 mini solo cups would be with shifting lights from bloom to grow for the last couple? Or should I just stay patient and start fresh w the Grease?

Hey everyone!

SEEDS ARE IN THE GROUND, I REPEAT THE BEANS ARE ON THE SCENE!

I started the seed process on the 17th of December and had them sprouted and under lights on the 19th.

This time around, I soaked my seeds in room temperature water for about 8-12 hours or until the seed dropped to the bottom of the cup. (Some required a quick poke to get them to sink.) From what I have read, this ensures the plant has a good start in regards to water. After they sank, I poured most the water out, leaving some at the bottom with the seeds. I then poured the water/seed into a paper towel and folded it up a couple of times to block any light.

I do not have a heating mat (next grow purchase for sure), so I put the container with the paper towels on top of my Xbox to get some warmth. After about 1/2 inch tail popped out of the seed (12-16 hours later) I popped them into a rehydrated jiffy pellet and moved them into my tent. Within 24 hours, all 3 had sprouted and looked great coming out of the pellet. I had 1 with helmet head, so I dipped the helmet into a glass of room temperature water, soaked it for about a minute, and was able to navigate the seed membrane off the cotyledons. 24 hours after cotyledons appear, planted the pellets into my coco coir mixture for their first stage and flipped on the 18-6 light schedule.

My plants are just under 2 weeks old now, everyone is looking great and happier than in any of my previous grows. This time around I have been highly focused on the EC I am starting my seedlings with, increasing very minimally between each fertigation. Currently, I am at about 600 EC, and most of my standard mixes are hanging around 1000-1200 EC. Working my way up! Once I see some roots show in the solo cup, I will move them into their final 3 gallon home. To prep the 3 gallons, I do a CalMag bath and soak the coco coir mix in it overnight to ensure there aren't nutrient issues that pop up during the growth.

Couple questions. I have always grown autoflowers, so typically LST is the only training method. This plant recommends a multi-topped bush. When do you typically do the first topping? Additionally, do you have a typical timeline for when you flip to flower? Or just when you are happy with the plant and it's current growth? (Knowing it will double during flowering)

Hope everyone had a great holiday season, all the drops from SHN made it hard to save any Christmas money I received... so many tasty options.
